Some people hate summer. Everyone else is all like “yes, beach weather” while those who can’t handle the slightest increase in heat are standing in front of supermarket freezers thinking “this could be colder”. It’ll sound strange to some, but we get it… kinda.

Here are the things only people who prefer the depths of winter can relate to:

  1. Any temp above 25 makes you physically melt into a jelly-like substance, unable to perform any sort of task – even thinking in the heat is hard
  2. You constantly watch the weather, hoping for some rain relief, but when it comes, it’s more like sauna steam than a refreshing shower
  3. Speaking of showers, you think they’ll cool you down, but you somehow end up sweatier than you were before
  4. Your summer wardrobe revolves around what can hide sweat marks the most – hello muumuus, cya later slate grey
  5. Wearing less doesn’t solve the problem – you could be naked and still sweat profusely
  6. You have to be picky about what you sit on because you WILL leave behind a puddle of perspiration
  7. You crank up the air conditioner to make life bearable but immediately feel guilty about contributing to global warming, so you switch it off and hate summer even more
  8. The heat makes you hungry, but unless it’s frozen it’s not going anywhere near your mouth – we’re talking a diet of icy poles, slushies, even plain ice if that’s all you’ve got access to
  9. You try to stay cool at the beach, but the short trip there makes you irritable, the sun burns, the sand also burns, and you immediately regret you ever left the house
  10. If you have to go anywhere – forget about it, unless it’s somewhere north of the equator in the middle of a snow storm or similar…

If you can relate or you’re now sitting on the fence, the latest limited-edition Tommy Jeans collection from Hilfiger Denim will help you decide whether it’s time to consider a summer escape to somewhere much cooler.
