Reopened by playwright William Shakespeare and his company in 1614 after the 1599 original burned to the ground, the unmistakable Tudor building is an iconic landmark, considered one of the greatest theatres in history.

Pop-Up Globe Founder, Dr Miles Gregory explains "the immersive experience of seeing Shakespeare performed in the space for which it was written… This isn’t dusty Shakespeare," says Gregory, "This is now. Alive. Like a party. It is bawdy, hilarious, brutal and blood-soaked."
