How to Cope with Coachella FOMO

Who else was losing it in front of the live stream like Adele?

The first weekend of Coachella 2018 was MAJOR. To be fair, the annual music festival in Palm Springs is always pretty memorable – who could forget that awkward kiss between Madonna and Drake, or when Tupac was brought back to life via hologram? This year however, the main attractions included incredible acts from The Weeknd and Eminem, as well as celeb-hosted soirees like Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma Drippin pool party, but of course it was Beyoncé who claimed the festival throne.

Queen Bey was scheduled to make an appearance previously in 2017 but had to cancel because of her pregnancy, leaving fans feeling a little less than happy. Of course, no one held a grudge (because it’s Beyoncé and why would they?) but as if by way of apologising, she gave us her best performance yet. Not only did she have a 200-person marching band to back her up, she also reunited Destiny’s Child, had a dance-off with sister Solange, sang her heart out with husband Jay-Z, and surprised us with some of our favourite throwback tunes.

Everyone everywhere was losing it over her show. Rih Rih was seen grooving along from the front row while Adele was glued to the live stream, dancing her pyjama pants off in the comfort of her home, sharing just how good it made her feel with a series of relatable boomerangs on Instagram.

So yeah, the first weekend of Coachella 2018 was the best the festival has ever been. Now can we all agree and move on with our lives? No, of course not. We’ve got a case of some serious FOMO (fear of missing out) and the only thing getting us through the day, aside from stalking every #beychella post on the internet ever, is planning for next year’s pilgrimage to Palm Springs.

Our bags are basically packed, and these are just a few of the outfits we we’re taking with us.

Studs & Lace

Channelling Bey, we’re trading in our freakum dress for a pair of denim cut-offs teamed with nothing but a lace bralette and a fierce denim jacket.

Band Tees & Boots

It wouldn’t be a festival look without a vintage band tee, an army-inspired anorak and boots that were made for moshing.

Faux Fur & Floral

For our more polished festival posts, we’re going glam with a fake fur coat, a floral top and our favourite flower-crown filter.
