Ladies, it’s our turn to suit up. With ‘80s retro-inspired trends popping up in our spring occasion wear (see Digital Media) it was only a matter of time before this trend would filter down to our workwear wardrobe, and what better look to revive than the power suit.

Don’t worry, we’ve ditched the statement shoulder pads (for now) and given it a modern twist with more playful accessories. After all, heading to work should be fun and there should be room for a little self-expression.

Here are 6 coordinating looks to try this season.

If you haven’t gotten one already, the grey boyfriend blazer is a spring essential. We’re keeping our look minimalist with drop earrings and loafer slides.

In the colour of the season, this look gives power dressing a more feminine feel with a full skirt. We’re adding a safari twist with animal print accessories.

Add a little personality to your workwear wardrobe with oversized checks. A flash of tangerine will give this look a fresh spring feel.

Our most playful co-ord yet, this get-up will liven up your tired workwear rotation, plus, you can take it out on weekends too.

If office policies restrict you from going OTT like the last look, then bold accessories will be your key to turning pant suits from frumpy to fearless.

Colour doesn’t have to be your only go-to for a fun outfit, get creative with a monochrome colour palette by adding statement shoes and accessories.
