Linen is an extremely breathable yet durable natural fabric. It is created from the flax plant, one of the oldest cultivated fibres in the world. Similar to hemp, flax is a strong, fast-growing crop and requires minimal irrigation and pesticide use compared with conventional alternatives.

Having an inherently lower impact on the environment than conventional materials such as cotton, linen can also be certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), an organic standard certification which ensures the linen is grown and processed without the use of pesticides and harmful chemicals.
