Launched in June 2016, Australian label Siyona is redefining the realm of contemporary fashion. The brand is built on tradition yet imbued with a modern outlook, and strives to create truly unique pieces to treasure for years to come.

Creative Director Ravish Maganlal launched Siyona in response to the widening gap between high quality couture and mass produced fast fashion – the brand’s mission is to design and create investment pieces that are at once affordable and timeless, beautifully detailed yet comfortable and wearable.

Each Siyona collection is designed in Australia and crafted by specialist artisans in India, utilising the rich history of fabric techniques that come with generations of experience. Rather than beginning each design with a sketch, Siyona uses fabric swatches as the starting point for each piece – taking the unique elements of each swatch and exploring new ways to wear them. Every piece is meticulously handmade using traditional manufacturing processes – from intricate embroidery to hand-beading and finishing. Many garments are created with more than one technique, drawing on the skills and signatures from a collective of artisans that each contribute their own unique hallmark.
