I let go of the idea that I need to be or look like someone else, and I can just be my weird self. I’m determined to use my job and platform as a celebration of diversity and to inspire self love, something I felt like wasn’t too present in my younger years growing up. Although we have a long way to go, thankfully those who are different are given a voice today. These people are magic. The world, sometimes darkened with prejudice and destruction, cannot overshadow the light that is produced when people of all races, cultures, religions, personalities, and sexualities come together. I am proud to be a part of growing movements like those THE ICONIC champions, to celebrate people who sometimes don’t fit in. Times are changing and we will keep pushing.”
