“... I have 12 brothers and sisters – and I learned early in my childhood the thing that makes any of us human is the ability to have empathy and understanding for people around us. I am so aware of the struggles that lots of my people face in Australia and I know that as a young Aboriginal man with a profile, I need to be a voice of change and empathy. Change can sometimes be slow moving but I have realised how important it is to grab an opportunity when it comes and to put yourself out there. If all of us could just be a little more compassionate along the way, we could all be better.”
