“I didn’t really fit in at high school. I was the boy with the weird name, big hair, the talented AFL player of mixed race who preferred to dance and listen to house music...

"Teased and bullied, I would turn to my music that not many my age were interested in. I remember reading a quote from the owner of my favourite label Defected Records: ‘My view on house music is that it is universal, and that anyone is welcome.’ So, I gave up football and, with the support of my family, followed my passion to make music, act and model. I grew into my name (which I now love), wear my hair like a badge of honour and I’m proud of both my African and Anglo Saxon heritage. I am finding my place within the creative space and released my first house track this year. I am pursuing a career in acting and have also been fortunate with lots of opportunities within modelling. I am lucky as I have found my passion while still young and this drives me to have the courage to give it everything and leave behind all of the bullying and bad memories that came with school. Now, I focus only on making new wonderful memories and I look forward to taking my shot at this thing called life!”
