"Here, I saw drugs and alcohol, domestic violence, homelessness and discrimination. I was only young and my home was broken, but at the same time I was lucky enough to be raised around culture, politics and the wisdom and knowledge passed down from my elders. I speak only about my experiences to break the stereotypes around Aboriginality and how systemic discrimination perpetuates those. And I encourage others to do the same.”
