“I’m on a mission to redefine fashion for women who dress modestly...
“... Being a Muslim woman, mixed with being both half Lebanese and half Australian has left me constantly in the midst of an identity crisis. Being able to use fashion, beauty and photography as a form of creative expression has helped me feel empowered and unique in a society who deem modest fashion to be oppressive and not dynamic. Modest fashion is a personal choice and it allows me to respectfully represent my faith while also staying true to my own individual style. Muslim women are colourful and creative and our community of muslim creatives are reflecting that. I’m proud to wear my hijab whilst also rocking my Aussie freckles and embrace my beautiful heritage. I refuse to feel I have to fit in boxes to comfort people’s fears or curiosities. Many things make up who I am and I hope to inspire other women to understand that they don’t need to change that.”
