How To Wear The All White Menswear Trend

Step one: don't spill anything.

Want to feel fresher than the Fresh Prince? All white is where it’s at. It’s clean, it’s crisp and it’s the cure-all for any big night (look fresh, even when you’re feeling far from it).

It’s our go-to for breakfast, lunch and dinner … So long as there’s no spills.

It’s the menswear trend that calls for you to be on a first name basis with the soak function on your washing machine. Sure, it got a bad rap in The Leftovers but this cult is far from crazy. No longer just the dress code for Diner En Blanc, the all-white look is where it’s at this season as we follow the call to lighten up.

Walk towards the light and rock it from top to bottom. It’s time to check your commitment issues at the door: wear this shade from head to toe. Our tips? Play with fabrics – think a lightweight linen tee with your summer denim, or a cotton shirt with some easy-wear chinos. Because it’s summer, there’s no real need to layer. Stick to single piece that tick the ‘essentials’ box.

Beware, though, of people in close proximity who are still drinking red wine even though it’s summer (sorry), and also of the tomato sauce at your local sausage sizzle (again, apologies). If you have these kind of significant others in your life, here’s some handy hints to take care of your all-white wear.)
