Let’s Dance! Sloan Peterson On Music Festival Essentials And Hype Songs

Shop the looks made for grooving and get to know 8 fast facts about Australian musician Sloan Peterson.

I find my style inspiration from the 60s, 70s, and 80s – Nancy Sinatra and Françoise Hardy have a big influence on my wardrobe, but sometimes I enjoy a really masculine energy, like King Princess where it’s got more boyish vibes.

My ideal festival outfit is something that I can dance in, something comfortable, and something that I’m not too precious about getting dirty (especially if it’s muddy!).

A cross-body bag is a festival essential – so that my hands are free and I can run around.

When I’m travelling, a hoodie and sweatpants are my go-to – I just need to be comfortable, especially when flying.

My hype song is ‘Chaise Longue’ by Wet Leg because it’s really fun to sing along to, the lyrics are kind of naughty, and it’s got a great beat.

Listening to Bill Withers ‘Use Me’ is my guilty pleasure – it’s got a real groove to it and I enjoy it.

My pre-show ritual is drinking copious amounts of tea to soothe my throat (and my nerves!).

Corn chips are my current rider's “request” – I’ve never asked for this but I guess it;s the gift that they keep giving me!
