Fashion Week is something of a marathon – first you have New York Fashion Week, then London and – just past the halfway mark, Milan. The finish line (read: after party) is in sight.

This year, Milan’s streets told us bigger was better. Floor length was where it was at – with maximum impact dresses and skirts – while tailoring took itself to the extreme with oversized blazers and blown-out silhouettes. There was, too, the oversized casual look – boyfriend dressing made femme thanks to a pair of need-them-now kitten heels.

But that wasn’t the only command: there was a call for colour, one bold tone from head to toe. The pink suits – note the plural – well, they just proved our point.

But wait, there’s more (isn’t there always?). Leopard print isn’t going anywhere and neither are those boiler suits we’re seeing just about everywhere – for her and for him. Yes, couples took twinning to a whole new level, and we took that as a green light to grab a significant other and play match and match. Also on the cards? Gold was massive as were big checks and pyjama dressing, well baby, it’s back. (Perfect for the just-woke-up look we’re sporting this today.)

We’ve picked out a few of our faves from the line-up for your enjoyment / inspiration. Enjoy.
