Sure, your wedding dress, the first dance and the cake are super important, but following closely behind are your bridesmaids. Keeping them happy is kinda a priority. Here’s five ways to do just that.
1. Help them become friends
Chances are your bridesmaids will be from all stages of your life and they might not know each other. Making sure they have time to become friends will make the hen’s night and your wedding day much more fun for everyone. Organise a morning tea or evening drinks before the celebrations so everyone can start to bond.
2. Listen to their thoughts re dress shape
We all come in different shapes and sizes, so have a chat with them and see what they think about dress styles. You could find a dress to suit them all, or try different styles but in matching colours for continuity.
3. Give them responsibilities
Instead of loading everything on your maid of honour, share the load with your bridesmaids. It’ll make them feel more involved and will prevent too much falling on the shoulders of just one or two of your besties.
4. Be aware of their spend
Let’s be honest, being a bridesmaid can be exxy so keep track of what they are having to lay out, and where possible help keep those costs down. They’ll enjoy their experience a lot more, and so will you.
5. Check yourself
Bridezilla, much? Don’t let your stress and worries about your big day get a hold of you. Make sure you take the time to look after yourself with meditation, massages and fun (wedding-talk-free) nights with your bridesmaids.
