Here’s How To Turn Your Home Into The Set Of The White Lotus Sicily

Did you love Season 2 as much as we did?

Can’t get enough of The White Lotus? You’re not alone. The award-winning TV show returned for a second season late last year to riotous applause, another season of the quirky dramedy courtesy of Mike White that had decamped from the original Hawaii and made its move (with a largely whole new cast) to Sicily.

IRL hotel San Domenico Palace (a Four Seasons outpost) was a stand in for the White Lotus itself, playing host to the likes of the larger-than-life Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge), cocky Cameron (Theo James) and serious Harper (Aubrey Plaza). And while we’re sure The White Lotus Season 2 will have thousands descending on the town of Taormina this Euro summer, there is a way to embrace the show from home (without the, um, drama of the finale).

Set the scene…

Sure you’re not in Italy, but your homeware can say otherwise. San Domenico Palace is a place laden with crisp white linens. Traditional Italian ceramics also make an appearance, with them scattered throughout, including Sicily’s famous testa di Moro (the Sicilian head vases). Not to mention the marble galore. And that’s just the bedrooms…

Then there’s the bar…

Arguably the majority of the scenes in The White Lotus Season 2 take place around the bar. And what a bar it is! But you don’t need a luxe bar in your home (or even a grand piano for that matter). Just some bar cart essentials for mixing up an aperitivo of your own in ode to the show.

And don’t forget about the pool…

Let’s not forget that The White Lotus is largely based around the hotel’s beach and neighbouring (and seriously chic) pool. Whether or not you boast a pool of your own, amp up the Italian factor in your backyard with a resident white and blue striped umbrella, some deckchairs (there’s plenty of relaxing to be had) and maybe an inflatable pool toy for good measure.
