2023 has been a predictably huge year for menswear so far, adding plenty more fuel to the conversation of how seriously male fashion should be taken compared to the ball gowns and haute couture red carpet glamour we've become accustomed to looking out for over the decades. We've seen yet another awards season come and go, countless movie press tours, and of course a sprinkling of fashion week events bringing people out and about in their most eye-catching garb.

Chris Pine
Chris Pine has emerged as the internet's favourite hunk-cum-dandy in the fallout from *that* Don't Worry Darling press tour, and it's largely down to his near-flawless rotation of fantastic suits—paired invariably with any combination of lounge-ready loafers, huge lapels, slutty singlets and playful ties. Pedro Pascal
Yes, you knew the certified fashion-daddy of 2023 would be on this list—The Last of Us star touring the world in promotion of the film in all manner of boundary-pushing ensembles. Just over the last few months we've seen the 48-year-old defy age and convention in crochet cardigans, baggy Zegna tailoring and splashy knitwear.

Paul Mescal
Following very much in the wake of those above, Mescal has also emerged from his breakout role in Normal People and through his slew of awards-season nominations, served some huge red carpet moments. Flowy Gucci suits, high-waisted pants and gaping singlets have been the Irishman's cocktail of choice, paired of course with the fashion mullet that seems not to be going away.

Austin Butler
He may have come away from awards season with precious little to show for his star-making turn as Elvis, but Butler—accent in tow—remains a magnetic presence. Mostly opting for utilitarian workwear away from formal events, Butler has been channelling the mid-century glamour of the King himself on the red carpet, embracing double-breasted tuxedos, padded shoulders and sheer shirts in equal measure.

Michael B Jordan
The return of potentially the most handsome man in Hollywood, mostly surrounding the release of Creed 3, has reminded us of just how good of a dresser the actor and newly-minted director can be. No-one pulls off a Louis Vuitton tux with quite MBJ's level of panache.
