Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll be well aware that the KVD Beauty Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner is the MVP of liquid liners. So when the opportunity came up to review KVD Beauty’s latest liner launch, the KVD Beauty Tattoo Pencil Liner Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, to say I was eager to test it out is an understatement.

What Is It?

The KVD Beauty Tattoo Pencil Liner Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner is a waterproof gel pencil eyeliner that’s both fade and transfer-resistant. It’s available in 10 high-pigment shades and is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. I tried the shades Trooper Black (ultra-black), Axinite Brown (warm brown) and Azurite Blue (vibrant cobalt).

What’s The Application Like?

This liner is smooth. Like, really smooth and super easy to apply. I’m a diehard liquid liner girl as I like a sharp, crisp line – but I found that the Tattoo Pencil Liner Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner glided seamlessly across my lashline, leaving a flawless wing. The other big selling point for me is the pigment. This liner is so pigmented that you only need one swipe to get the result you are looking for.

How Does It Wear?

Another reason I usually go for a liquid liner is that I find pencil eyeliners always smudge or fade on me throughout the day. You will not have that issue with this eyeliner. This wasn’t easy to remove and took a fair amount of micellar water to take off – I’d choose this over smudged eyeliner every time. The pigment didn’t fade at all throughout the day either. My favourite shade was Axinite Brown and it was just as vibrant as it was when I first applied it after a full day of work and dinner with friends. Impressive!

The Verdict

I am a big fan of this pencil eyeliner. I find it easier to apply than a liquid liner and I could still get a sharp wing by applying the product to a small angled brush and drawing it on. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a liquid liner girl, but I’ve been using this product far more than I thought I would. If you’re after a long-lasting eyeliner that’s easy to apply and has a generous colour payoff, this is it.
