While we pondered if fashion’s regimented ‘seasons’ are a thing of the past, we couldn’t help piecing together the dapper fits we would have sported at Pitti Uomo – arguably the largest biannual, four-day-long menswear event in Florence. After all, if our outward expressions of self aren’t to bring us joy, then what good are they? Right now, we’re taking these looks to socially-distanced dinner dates, gatherings in the confines of our own four walls, and to our AM coffee run – no matter now dressed ‘up’ we look. From normcore to full-blown office wear to the crowd favourite trend that is athleisure, 2020 is the year of mixing and matching; the year of defining your own dress code.

We'd roll up to day #1 in a khaki unit and play it down with a beanie. Sprezzatura, no less. It's all about comfy utility without overdoing it. We get the work done, then we play.
What looks effortless has been in the works since yesterday evening. A brown coat atop white trousers and chunky Fila kicks doesn't disappoint. In fact, it hides our Bistecca alla Fiorentina stains. And in case you were wondering, the shades are part of our thinly veiled exit strategy.
This is the 'I've got no time for street style, street style'. Monochromatic pieces defy age, especially when paired together while our belt bag keeps our hands free without bulking up our pockets. We're ready for anything Pitti has in-store.
We're late so we retreat to an old fave – an outfit as cool as Ray-Bans themselves. Add a well-crafted leather jacket + white button-up + understated black pants + Dr. Martens. These silhouettes are as classic as they come.
