While the later years of the 2010s had us believing that razor-sharp tailoring and logo-laden streetwear was the key to fashion, in recent years, more and more of the world’s menswear heavyweights have sought to bring a little frivolity back to the way we dress. The outfits of the world’s most stylish guys are getting bigger, louder, and more colourful, and we’re seeing playful additions thrown in from all eras of fashion, whether they be strings of pearl necklaces, feather boas or an adornment of gold chains and rings. There’s truly never been a more stylish time to layer on the accessories, and these gents are providing the blueprint.

A$AP Rocky
Rocky has never been one to shy away from incorporating more feminine dress trends into his unique menswear philosophy, and recently he’s been pioneering new ways of incorporating all manner of jewellery into his razor sharp fits, whether they be grounded in tailoring or streetwear. Case and point: his ‘Celine suit meets a string of pearls’ moment in June.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles’ current standing as one of Gucci’s favourite muses has led to the singer stepping out in some of the wildest outfits we’ve seen in recent years. The bright and gaudy tailoring and sky-high heels are one thing, but Styles is also far from averse to draping himself in accessories, whether they be the current binary-bending accessory of the moment, pearls, gold jewellery, or a feather boa.
Pete Davidson
Comedian and SNL star Pete is definitely more muted in his style than some of the other names on this list, but he frequently puts on masterclasses of pairing quirky accessories, from bead necklaces to painted nails, with more dressed-down streetwear. His appearance with new GF Phoebe Dyvenor at Wimbledon is a great example.
Evan Mock
Gossip Girl breakout, model and all-around cool kid Evan Mock is a name to have on your style inspo radar if he’s not already, and he’s already proving himself a bit of a savant pairing bold sunglasses, bags and jewellery with even bolder outfits. He’s also a natural at the art of using grooming as fashion, whether he’s sporting a neon buzz-cut or a painted nail.
Shawn Mendes
We’re seeing big collars, big lapels and bare chests rocket back into vogue right now, and that means today’s heart-throbs are accessorising to suit. Step forward Shawn Mendes, whose killer suit game is always grounded with some form of quirky jewellery, whether it be a chain or, yet again, a string of pearls.
