There’s something about hearing something explained that makes it stick. Is it the humanness of a voice (anything but Siri, please) as opposed to etchings on a page? Podcasts feel personal, even though we’re not the ones directly asking the questions. We’re flies on the wall, and otherwise not in earshot. Through such conversation we stretch our worldview; we expand with storytelling. If you’re not yet a podcast person, your ears are well primed. Find my unsolicited podcast recommendations below – some saucy, some heartwrenching, and some will steal your heart – to listen to while driving, walking, or even bathing. Mindfully, of course.

1. The Offline Podcast
Hosted by Alison Rice, The Offline podcast holds a mirror up to our true selves by way of unfiltered conversations with influencers, entrepreneurs, scientists, fitness coaches, and the lineup ensues. I'm still processing the realness imparted by Manoj Dias, Penny Locaso, Pip Edwards, and Dylan Smith. They’re worth a second listen. Not to mention, Alison’s voice is pure honey.
2. My Millenial Money
Hosted by the effervescent Glen James and rational John Pidgeon, this podcast is as neat at its acronym, MMM. In the 326 episodes to date, the pair have doled out thoughtful advice like how to win at tax time, explained ethical investing, the ins and outs of the $25K home builder scheme, and more. Bonus tip? There are live MMM webinars to sign up for, too. To steal Glen’s words, you'll be even more 'woke' for tuning in.
3. Authentic Sex
Juliet Allen, a leading Australian sexologist, holds a space in which anything to do with relationships, getting sideways, or literally feeling yourself is fair play. She’s like the cool mum you always wanted. In her podcast, you’ll get in on conversations with women’s coaches, tantric experts, healers, and more. Take notes for later.
4. Who The Hell Is Hamish?
This is one of those series that you need to listen to in sequence. Hear chilling stories from casualties of Aussie conman, Hamish ‘Watson’, who got away with his tricks, manipulation, and fraud for decades. Find out the extent of his global white-collar crimes and his eventual unraveling, as pieced together by The Australian. Now? He’s behind bars. Even still, you’ll be left wondering, where did he hide alllll that money?
5. How I Built This
Guy Raz’s audiocast is fodder for inspiration, contemplation all-around world domination (in the best way). His lineup includes the world’s most influential movements and companies, and the blueprint behind how they came to be. Pick and choose episodes from ClassPass to Supergoop!, reCAPTCHA (yes, that annoying but super important security precaution), Shake Shack, or whatever else takes your fancy.
