First, prep the skin with the Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer, a universal product for all skin tones which helps improve the comfort and wear of foundation. “It acts as a really plump base for our foundation,” says Ashlea who recommends using your fingers to gently pat the product into the skin starting at the centre of the face and working outwards.

Allow the primer 10 seconds to melt into the skin before applying the Luminous Silk Foundation. A blender brush can be used but Ashlea prefers to work with her hands, “I really like to use my fingers because it doesn't soak up the product and I can get a really nice blend. I can use the warmth of my fingers to warm the product and work it into the skin, that way I can control how much coverage I create.”

Ashlea likens it to a glow enhancer with a hint of tint in it, “when you put it on the apples of the cheeks, it just gives a beautiful highlighted glow. I put a little pump on the back of my hand, and using my fingers to warm it up, I pat that into the high points of the cheek and a tiny bit over the bridge of the nose – and that’s how you get the iconic Armani glow.”
