How To Get More Wear Out Of Your Holiday Wardrobe… At Work

Hold onto that holiday feeling – give longevity to your summery styles.
Casual WorkwearCasual Workwear

Nobody wants the freedom of the holidays to end, even if we are craving some structure and routine. So making the transition back to the weekly schedule of Zoom calls and 1:1s as effortless as possible is high on our list of priorities. For us that means finding a way to wear our throw-on vacation wardrobe that little longer. You’ll find that with some clever tweaks, it’s possible to carry that holiday feeling well into the coming months.

Flat Sandals

It’s easy to lower your cost-per-wear with a bit of versatility. For the quickest possible update that makes an instant transformation, the effects of swapping your shoes cannot be overstated. Bare feet or sporty slides might suffice for the beach and around the house but they won't cut it for a catch-up with your boss. Invest in some classic flat leather sandals in neutrals of black, brown and tan for an easy transition that keeps separates and dresses summer-smart.

Work Shirts

Let’s face it, your Monday morning WIP meeting is about getting you in the zone for a working week -– why add unnecessary outfit discomfort? That beach shirt, or floaty layer you've been living in – belt it over loosely tailored pants and slip on brogues for a meeting-appropriate outfit that won't shunt you out of holiday comfort.

Dress It Up

In terms of outfit equations, one ‘dressy’ piece can balance a cosy one in a perfectly intentional way. Physically going into your workplace and just feel like wearing a tee or a lazy sweater? Your fun skirt left over from party season, or a structured shape you always think is too formal, is the way to pull it off.

Disclaimer: keep it to lazy bottom halves when it’s an on-camera meeting from home, with something more interesting up top.

Women's Suits

Layer a structured vest over your summer go-to cotton or linen dress, or the sleeveless tank dress you’ve been living in. Even your favourite crop tops can work in the office with more masculine tailoring and high-waisted pants.
