Justin and Hailey Bieber have come a long way since their awkward introduction way back in 2009. From Justin’s much-hyped label to Hailey’s long history of great fits (see the Off-White wedding dress), the power couple has been setting a new paradigm for laid-back luxe fashion in Hollywood.
To celebrate the release of Justin’s Justice album, we're taking a closer look at one of the most sartorially preeminent double-acts in Hollywood.
Song Birds of Style
Launching in 2018, the Drew House brand has become synonymous with Justin and Hailey, the duo constantly using the label to experiment and canvas new ideas.
While Justin runs the fledgling label, Hailey is always sure to keep the paparazzi lens firmly fixed on the signature smiley face logo, the 24-year-old model regularly emerging from cars and coffee shops in oversized hoodies and sweatpants.

Nodding to Justin’s middle name, the streetwear label enlisted the help of designer Gianpiero D’Alessandro and stylist Ryan Good to help develop their vision. Now boasting 1.3 million Instagram followers, the brand’s first product was a pair of ‘Cheap Hotel Slippers’ which sold for $4.99 (quickly appearing online for $300).
Embracing the 21st century streetwear ethos, it quickly expanded to introduce skate decks, socks, and other paraphernalia – albeit with a surprisingly more modest price tag.
Justin and Hailey have long opted for the kind of laid-back caramel and corduroy hues emblematic of brands like Carhartt, while their penchant for monochromatic sweatpants and hoodies obviously owes much to their style ancestors Kimye (Kim Kardashian and Kanye West socially-certified the grey tracksuit so we could all prosper today. RIP).
However, Mr and Mrs Bieber’s real skill and individuality comes from their ability to pair materials and colours. Forget the Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears Canadian tuxedo ensemble, Justin and Hailey have brought new relevance to denim double-acts, both nailing the mum and dad jeans combo that could’ve come from either ‘his’ or ‘her’ wardrobe.
Together pairing vintage baseball caps, oversized neon hoodies, silky L.A. Lakers Championship bombers, and retro eyewear, the couple put their sartorial style in the spin cycle, much of their influence coming from 1980s sportswear.
Hailey, however, absorbs much of this streetwear sentiment into her 21st century couture. Bringing a more sophisticated palette to Bieber’s streetwear, Hailey often pairs luxurious oversized tailoring with staples from the Yeezy and Nike canon – like the Yeezy 500 and Air Force 1. Recently, she pulled up in ribbed knit track pants and a tailored coat, downplaying her chunky gold jewellery with a nasty pair of Nike SB Dunks (Bieber rode shotgun with a pair of triple white Air Force 1 beaters).
Indeed, sneakers are ubiquitous in the couple’s lineup. Nike Air Prestos, adidas Ozweegos, Vans Sk8-His, and the New Balance 997H all regularly make an appearance, while Justin recently announced another Crocs collaboration.
Whether they’re cuddled-up in loungewear, or dropping jaws on runways, the Biebers are one of the most dynamic duos in contemporary fashion.
