Pamela Anderson is the ultimate ‘90s beauty icon. As her documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, is released on Netflix, viewers not only get a glimpse into the former Baywatch star’s stories about her career, activism, being a mother and, of course, her relationship with ex-husband Tommy Lee, but also get to revisit some of the bombshell’s best vintage beauty moments.
Keep scrolling to find out exactly how to recreate Pamela’s full ‘90s glam makeup and hair look.
Razor-thin brows
While terrifying for those of us still trying to regrow our over-tweezed arches in favour of a bushy brow, there’s no denying that Pamela's thin brows look incredible. If you want to try the look without the commitment, cover your brows with a full-coverage concealer and set it with a translucent powder before using your brow pencil to lightly trace over your brow hairs until your desired shape is achieved. If your brows are already on the thin side, use a creamy highlighter along your brow bone and blend up towards your arches to give the illusion of a lifted, '90s-style brow. One last tip: if your brow gel contains microfibres, swap it out for a clear brow-setting gel instead.

Sultry smokey eye
Pam’s smokey eye is not for the faint-hearted. Start by smudging a combination of black and brown eyeshadow shades across your eyelids before lining your waterline with a dark eyeliner pencil and finish the look with a thick set of false eyelashes. Although a sultry smokey eye can be intimidating for a makeup novice, it’s incredibly easy to pull off because imperfection is encouraged – the messier, the better. To avoid eyeshadow fallout under your eye area, apply your smokey eye before your foundation and concealer. This will make it much easier to clean up any mess without taking off the rest of your makeup.

Oversized pout
Pamela’s infamous overlined pout can be recreated by lightly applying a nude lipstick as a base – we love M.A.C Matte Lipstick in Honeylove – lipstick and then applying brown lip liner on top, cleaning up the edges with foundation for the perfect shape. To finish the look, apply a slick of clear gloss, and you’ve got the perfect Pammy pout.

Bombshell blonde
Pam was known for her classic platinum blonde hair. Although she admits in Pamela, A Love Story that she colours her own hair in just 20 minutes using a supermarket box dye (do not try this at home!), it always looked bright and shiny as she maintained her colour with the right product lineup. For creamy blonde locks like hers, use a shampoo and conditioner designed to eliminate brassy tones, like Pureology’s Strength Cure Blonde range. To get that bombshell blowout, blow dry your hair using a round brush for a voluminous base and then add in a few loose curls with a curling iron if needed. For extra oomph, use a volumising mousse on your roots and set it with hairspray.
