Earlier this year we were thrilled to be able to bring you the Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive range, with features that promote ease of dressing like thoughtful closures, seated-wear solutions and fits for prosthetics – designed to make dressing less of a hassle for people living with disabilities. We promised you that this was just the beginning, and now we’re proud to let you know that we’ve added to the offering with THE ICONIC’s very own Adaptive Edit.
Kicking off with brands including Brisbane-based label Christina Stephens, Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive and JAM The Label, created by young Aussie Occupational Therapists, Emma and Molly, the Edit is the next part of our journey to make THE ICONIC a more inclusive shopping experience for everyone.
Professional paratriathlete and world champion Lauren Parker made her first foray into modelling in our Adaptive offering. “THE ICONIC having an Adaptive Edit is so essential because it enables people with a disability to feel included. To have fashion garments easy to put on and remove helps people’s independence and quality of life. It encourages people to have the confidence in themselves and their individuality.”
“This will hopefully change the way brands view people living with a disability.”
Ambassador for Down Syndrome Australia, Olivia Sidhu says, “I want the clothes to make me feel fashionable, special and trendy because I aim to be an inspiring person and I want others to see that.”
This is just the beginning of another exciting journey, keep an eye on our Adaptive Edit for more.
