The Verdict Is In: There's No Such Thing As At-Home Clothes Anymore

Local DJ Charles Oliver shares how to take those sweats out of lockdown.

Some might be unsure, in this weird limbo of a time, what you can wear, and where you should wear it. Most of us have only seen the inside of our apartments for the last 11-plus weeks ... so what will we take into the outside world?

We checked in with DJ and extra cool content-maker Charles Oliver to find out how he's tackling the inside / outside clothing conundrum, plus asked him to share how he stayed motivated during iso.

How are you feeling about this whole iso thing? How has it affected your daily life?
"Is it a little strange for me to say that I’ve actually really enjoyed it? I work from home anyway so its hasn’t had a huge impact but where a lot of my work has slowed down its allowed me to have a lot more ME time and focus on what goals I want to reach when we come out of this as well as work on a few side projects I have that I’ve been putting off for a while because you know ... sometimes life just gets in the way."

How has your style changed since lockdown?
"You know what? I think it may have got a little better, ha! Some days I’ve been getting dressed up a little more then normal just to start the day like any other day and have that feel good factor but most days consist of loose fits like track pants, linen pants, oversized tees and sweats."

What have you been reading / watching / listening to / thinking about in lockdown?
"The Last Dance and Tiger King come on! It doesn't get any better, that's pretty much all I’ve watched as well as doing a lot of research on Youtube and maybe playing the Xbox. As I DJ, I’m always sourcing new music, I’ve started putting some live videos/mixes on YouTube as well so hit SUBSCRIBE so we can party."

Tell us a little about your at-home style - what are you can't-live-withouts?
"Right now with the cooler weather a couple of decent hoodies, track pants and loose fitting tees, I’ve kinda let the hair grow in lockdown and I’m not used to it so I’d also say a nice beanie or cap for the extra lazy days."

Weigh in for us - should some pieces be kept just for home? Or should they go everywhere?
"I always say comfort is key! So wear whatever you want wherever you want, just be confident and be yourself. As long as you’re comfortable ... who cares!"
