Yes, Of Course That LBD is a Good Idea

When you can wear it a million times it’s worth the investment

If you spied Mila Kunis at the People’s Choice Awards and immediately fell in love with her little black dress like we did, then you’re in luck – turns out she was wearing this chic Alex Perry number.

Now, unless you consider those couple of hundred dollar bills in your wallet as “loose change” (definitely not me), deliberating about this dress not exactly a no-brainer, add straight to bag and checkout situation.

But before you dismiss the idea of making it your own, or investing in any LBD in general, consider its cost per wear – how much the dress cost you divided by the number of times you’ll wear it.

A simple black dress is timeless and always chic. It’s the kind of dress that will make you look like a million dollars with just the addition of a bold red lip and barely-there heels, but also the type of dress that goes from party to professional once you layer a blazer on top. You’ll be able to take it to multiple events and you won’t have to pull a Marge Simpson with a sewing machine to make it look different every time. It’s partly the reason why accessories like OTT earrings and statement bags were invented – to make LBDs look brand new again. You’ll be more inclined to take good care of it if you’ve made the investment, and it’s the kind of style that will still bring you joy after a couple of years – there’s no Marie Kondo-ing here.

But if Alex Perry is still out of the question, then there’s always these LBD options too:
