The indisputable most-fun occasion in the calendar is coming around again. Yep, WorldPride is happening from 17th February to 5th March, with perhaps a more exciting line up than ever before – Cher showed up to Mardi Gras in 2018, so that's the bar.
So, isn’t Sydney’s annual celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community called Mardi Gras? Well, yes. This year it will be incorporated into WorldPride, an event held every couple of years by a different city (the Olympics of Mardi Gras, if you will). Sydney has been chosen by InterPride members - the first city in the southern hemisphere to play host!
WorldPride promises a full programme of all of our Mardi Gras favourites – including the parade – plus much more, across arts, theatre, parties, gigs and First Nations events.
Best of all, it’s the biggest occasion in the calendar to dress e x a c t l y as you want. It’s time to have some fun.
