We're planning to drive meaningful change within our supply chains, addressing water quality, energy usage, restricted chemicals and monitoring waste management throughout the production journey. Read on to learn more about the certifications we recognise.
For each material there are often many different production processes involved, which can mean varying levels of impact on the environment and workers within the supply chain. We're conscious of water & energy usage, waste management and the concerns involved with use of restricted substances. To continue promoting responsible use and improve chemical management in manufacturing, we developed our own Chemical Standard and Restricted Substances List, outlining the requirements for suppliers to adhere to. Outside of our own requirements, there are a multitude of organisations and standards striving to a new level of production management in an effort to reduce these impacts.

Although Leather can be an extremely durable material that allows a product to have a long life, the manufacturing process can be dangerous - tanning is required for leather to be used, which often requires chemical treatments that are potentially harmful for the workers within the supply chain. Leather Working Group (LWG) are a non-profit organisation committed to building a more sustainable future for leather sourcing - driving better practices and positive social and environmental change for responsible leather production.
We recognise Leather Working Group certified suppliers and tanneries that are audited to Gold, Silver and Bronze. LWG are working to create a transparent leather value chain that inspires, educates and challenges those that produce and use leather as we collectively work towards the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Chemicals are sometimes a key component within the textile manufacturing process - from raw material processing to the finished garment. Through certification and increased transparency, we're able to detect potential chemicals used that could be damaging to the environment or health of workers in the supply chain.

OEKO-TEX®
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. If a product carries this label, it means that every component including every thread, button and feature has been tested for harmful substances.
OEKO-TEX®
OEKO-TEX® also developed the LEATHER STANDARD, Leather that meets this standard has been scientifically tested against a list of over 1,000 harmful substances
With the support of other organisations like ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and the Certification Bodies they work with, other standardised fibre testing ensures solvents, chromium and other potentially harmful chemicals are absent during production.
The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard assesses a product's performance across five categories of sustainability, including Material Health, Product Circularity, Clean Air & Climate Protection, Water & Soil Stewardship and Social Fairness.
