ULURU STATEMENT FROM THE HEART

Uluru Statement from the Heart tees are here in collaboration with the Uluru Dialogue, a First Nations-led group based at the UNSW Indigenous Law Centre, which is leading a national education campaign on the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

The Uluru Statement from the Heart is an invitation to all Australians to walk with First Nations people for a better future and is the result of 13 Regional Dialogues held across Australia with First Nations peoples in 2016 and 2017. The work of these dialogues was endorsed at the National Constitutional Convention held at Yulara and Mutitjulu near Uluru on 23-26 May, 2017 and the Uluru Statement was issued to the Australian people. The locations and dates of those Regional Dialogues and the National Constitutional Convention are set out on the back of the tee.

The Uluru Statement calls for Voice, Treaty, Truth and a First Nations Voice to Parliament, enshrined in the Australian Constitution. A Voice to Parliament means that First Nations people will have a say in the laws and policies that impact them.
