Nelson Made has always been connected to nature, with founder Jamie spending her childhood by the beach in a coastal locale of New Zealand. With her formative years deeply attuned to the world around her, Jamie developed a deep appreciation for the planet and nurtured her desire to protect it. Jamie studied shoemaking at the London College of Fashion before relocating to Melbourne and working for some of Australia’s favourite brands. While the experience was invaluable, seeing under the hood of myriad manufacturing processes and fast fashion practices only galvanised her childhood vow to do things differently. And so, Nelson Made was born.

Nelson Made shoes are crafted in smaller quantities, with many of their flat sandals produced in-house in the brand’s Melbourne studio. By staying connected to their community of crafters both here and abroad, Nelson Made is able to ensure their exacting standards of quality, material and environment are maintained.
