Founded by Californian climber and surfer, Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia was born as a spin-off of Chouinard Equipment, a small shop near the Rincon surf breaks in California, who were known for making some of the world’s best climbing gear. These versatile, lightweight performance-oriented Maipo Shorts are made for the sort of multisport activity that Chile's Maipo Valley is known for—from running to climbing to hiking to yoga, plus everything in between.

Length: 39cm (size small). Our model is 167.6cm (5’6”) tall with a 83.8cm (33”) bust, a 67.3cm (26.5”) waist and 88.9cm (35”) hips.

- The soft fabric provides fast-drying performance and is built with NetPlus® postconsumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution, knitted with miDori™ bioSoft for added wicking and softness, and HeiQ® Mint odor control
- High-rise performance shorts
- Designed for optimal comfort and mobility with a folded-over front waistband and enclosed elastic in the back
- Twin drop-in side pockets fit a standard phone or stash other items on the go
- Low-profile flatlock seams prevent chafing
- The inseam is 8"
