Founded by Californian climber and surfer, Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia was born as a spin-off of Chouinard Equipment, a small shop near the Rincon surf breaks in California, who were known for making some of the world’s best climbing gear. The brand has since evolved into an outdoor clothing and equipment company, providing clothes for the ‘silent sports’ such as climbing, surfing, skiing and snowboarding and using specialised fabrications and technologies.

Built for comfort and unconstrained movement, our Patagonia Women's Quandary Shorts - 7" are multifunctional hiking shorts with a go-anywhere fabric. These hiking shorts are designed for comfort and versatility, with a sleek, modernized fit for ease of movement and a slightly higher rise than the Quandary Pants. They're built of 96% NetPlus postconsumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution/4% spandex plain weave; with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS to resist light moisture. Inseam length is 7".
