Founded by Californian climber and surfer, Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia was born as a spin-off of Chouinard Equipment, a small shop near the Rincon surf breaks in California, who were known for making some of the world's best climbing gear. The Apex Bionic 3 Jacket is engineered with windproof WindWall™ fabric, a durable water-repellent finish, and a comfortable fleece lining for protection and warmth in blustery conditions.

- Relaxed fit waterproof breathable seam-sealed DRYVENT™ 2L shell with non-PFC DWR finish
- Body fabric and lining made with recycled polyester
- Encased-elastic waistband with internal drawcord for adjustability
- Secure-zip welt hand pockets with articulated knees for mobility
- Lower-leg zip for easy on/off over boots with hook-and-loop leg opening adjustments
- Internal locker loop at waistband with heat transfer logo above right knee
